Israel's Central Elections Committee finds no evidence of election fraud in 2026 Knesset vote
Israel's Central Elections Committee completed a post-election audit of the 26th Knesset elections, reviewing 9,069 polling stations and thousands of appeals, and concluded no evidence of fraud or vote tampering was found.
The Central Elections Committee announced it has completed its control operation ahead of the publication of the official results for the 26th Knesset, and determined that no findings were found indicating harm to the purity of the elections or a change in the results. The announcement comes amid suspicions of election bribery allegedly linked to Ra'am activists as part of the 'Ballot Box Terror' affair, Likud's claims of irregularities in the Arab sector, and an investigation into suspected foreign interference. As part of the operation, 9,069 polling stations (about 75% of the 12,018 regular polling stations) were inspected, an increase of about 78% compared to the elections for the 25th Knesset. 2,452 inquiries were received from the factions and 1,239 inquiries from the public, all of which were examined. Committee Chairman Judge Noam Solberg and Acting Director General Adv. Dean Livneh declared a commitment to transparency and thorough examination.
