Demand to return the bodies of 11 Palestinian children

The National Campaign to Retrieve the Bodies of Martyrs and the Jerusalem Center for Legal Aid and Human Rights filed 11 petitions before the Israeli Supreme Court, demanding the release of the bodies of 11 Palestinian children under the age of 18, which the occupation authorities continue to hold. The campaign's media spokesman, Hussein Shujaiyya, said the petitions are part of the legal path the campaign has initiated, noting the submission of a general petition demanding the handover of 615 bodies. He explained that the move comes amid developments in the basis on which the occupation authorities rely to justify holding the bodies. According to the campaign's data, the occupation authorities currently hold the bodies of 805 known martyrs, including 80 children. The campaign stressed that holding the bodies of children should not become a means of pressure on their families.
