Degree on the beach: the new academic track in Haifa

28 students with post-trauma have begun a unique bachelor's degree track at a sailing club in Haifa, initiated by the "Choosing Life" program in partnership with Gordon Academic College and the IDF Disabled Veterans Organization.

28 students dealing with post-trauma have begun studying for a bachelor's degree in a unique framework at a sailing club in Haifa. The track, initiated by Dorit Tzemach, a graduate of the "Choosing Life" program, operates in partnership with Gordon Academic College for Education and the IDF Disabled Veterans Organization. Alongside their studies, the students receive a support package including professional guidance, logistical assistance, and subsidies. The program is based on group learning to create a sense of belonging, aiming to help participants reintegrate into employment and the community. Next year, the track is expected to move to Kishon Marina. Tzemach expressed hope that the first cohort will lead to the expansion of tracks for additional post-trauma individuals in Haifa and the north.
