The rift between the daughter and mother began, according to the objection, following a divorce battle between the mother and her partner. The mother asked the daughter to open a bank account to hide money, and the daughter refused. The daughter claims the divorce conflict led to the mother's severe mental distress and delusions, and that the parties to whom she bequeathed her fortune exploited her distress and isolated her. The new will was signed just one day after the mother sold her apartment in Tel Aviv, and included an instruction for "immediate realization" of estate assets. The daughter's lawyers stated this is an exceptional case where the gap between the wills is extreme, and the most significant evidence is the word "canceled" written on the original will. Conversely, the lawyer representing the heirs claims this is a frivolous and bad-faith objection, and that the will reflects the deceased's clear and conscious wishes.
