The woman took his credit card, scooter and helmet, and withdrew 5,000 shekels from his account. An indictment was filed against Daria Barboy, a 37-year-old resident of Netanya, for incapacitation, theft and use of a payment instrument.
A man from Tel Aviv met Daria Barboy, a 37-year-old resident of Netanya, through the dating app "Catch Chat" and later moved their correspondence to Telegram. The two arranged to meet in an hourly rental apartment on Ziegelboim Street in Tel Aviv. Around midnight, the complainant arrived riding a scooter, with a helmet, wallet and credit card. According to the indictment, the defendant poured him an alcoholic drink; he noticed a strange aftertaste, and she said it was whiskey with honey flavor. Shortly after, he felt unwell, suffered from hot flashes and dizziness, had difficulty speaking, and she pressured him to drink another glass until he lost consciousness. The defendant used his mobile phone to view the secret code of the credit card, took the card, scooter and helmet and left. Minutes later, she withdrew 5,000 shekels from a Bank Hapoalim ATM on Israel Guri Street in Tel Aviv, and attempted three additional withdrawals that were refused. Later, she made another transaction of 470 shekels at a business on Herzl Street. The complainant remained unconscious in the apartment, was found at night and taken to Ichilov Hospital, where he suffered from breathing difficulties and profuse sweating, required oxygen and intubation, and was kept under observation. The indictment charges her with incapacitation to commit an offense, theft and use of a payment instrument with intent to defraud.
