Cargo for "Elbit" did not fly: France prepares a new strike
French trade unions claimed they prevented the loading of cargo for the Israeli defense company "Elbit Systems" onto an Air France flight at Charles de Gaulle Airport. They name an El Al flight scheduled for Saturday evening as their next target. Air France denies transporting the cargo, stating it does not ship weapons or ammunition to Israel.
French trade unions announced that on Thursday they prevented the loading of cargo intended for the Israeli defense company "Elbit Systems" onto an Air France flight from Paris's Charles de Gaulle Airport to Ben Gurion Airport. According to them, the cargo contained components necessary for production at an "Elbit Systems" facility. The unions claim the cargo ultimately did not board the aircraft. Their next target is an El Al flight scheduled to depart on Saturday evening. Three unions, including those representing French aviation workers, called the delay a victory. They acted alongside organizations opposed to Israel, particularly Urgence Palestine. In a joint statement, the unions demand that French authorities and aviation agencies block the shipment. Air France, in response to media inquiries, stated that this cargo was not transported on its aircraft and added that the airline does not transport weapons or ammunition on its flights to Israel.
