Boaz Bismuth, chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, criticized the media in an interview with 103FM for its coverage of the Yonatan Urich affair and the arrival of Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel in Israel. Bismuth defended Netanyahu, calling the criticism a "shallow campaign" and threatening those who publish Urich's personal correspondence.

Boaz Bismuth, chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, gave an interview to 103FM and defended Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid reports of the arrival of Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel in Israel. Bismuth harshly attacked the media, accusing it of running a "shallow campaign" against Netanyahu, using interviews with "former officials" and stories about Egypt and the UAE that he said "never happened." He also addressed the leak of personal correspondence from Netanyahu's advisor Yonatan Urich, threatening that whoever hacked the phone and published correspondence with additions and alterations "will pay the price." Bismuth condemned media figures who he said were celebrating a criminal offense committed against a person, noting that in the past, Naftali Bennett's phone was hacked without similar condemnation. He emphasized that Urich did not harm Israel's security and that Israel struck in Qatar under Netanyahu.
