Bin Zayed to Saudi Arabia for the first time since tensions between the two countries

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz invited UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit the kingdom on Tuesday, the first such visit since tensions between the two countries over the conflict in Yemen. The Saudi Defense Ministry published the invitation on platform X, and the UAE News Agency confirmed that the visit comes in response to a "brotherly" invitation. This step comes amid ongoing escalation in Yemen, where the Yemeni Parliament approved general mobilization. The Saudi-Emirati dispute dates back to last January, after Saudi airstrikes bombed an Emirati ammunition shipment in the port of Mukalla. The differences also extend to the energy sector, as the UAE withdrew from OPEC last April, and competition over investments and regional hegemony has increased. The division also appears in relations with Israel, where the UAE rushed to normalize while Saudi Arabia hesitated.
