"Bibi, Bibi": Galia Albin's insulting performance - and what the left refuses to understand | Prof. Rami Kamehi
Prof. Rami Kamehi argues in his article that the assumption that Mizrahi voting for the right is emotional is a myth. He writes in response to Galia Albin's insulting scene, and claims that the third generation of Mizrahim votes for the right based on substantive considerations: the Ashkenazi left's contempt for Judaism, and the better representation offered by the right.
Prof. Rami Kamehi argues in his article that the assumption that Mizrahi voting for the right is emotional is a myth. He writes in response to Galia Albin's insulting scene, which he says released the ethnic demon from the bottle. Kamehi claims that the third generation of Mizrahim, who have no bitter memories of the left, votes for the right based on substantive considerations: the Ashkenazi left's contempt for Judaism, and the better representation the right offers Mizrahim in centers of power, which has practical implications of benefits and tenders. According to him, the left continues to believe in the myth of emotional voting because it absolves it of the need to change and of the need to share control of the media, the legal system, and academia.
