Parents Nira and Yigal froze eggs 25 years ago and forgot about them. After Almog's abduction from the Nova party on October 7 and his brutal murder in captivity a year later, the parents remembered the frozen eggs and embarked on a complex journey to locate them. The eggs were found, and with the help of a surrogate, Lavi was born. Sister Amit wrote on Instagram: "Almog moved things up there to make this happen. You too have a little brother from Mom and Dad." Ra'anana Mayor Haim Broida, who attended the circumcision, described "a long, complex journey, in the form of a reality beyond all imagination." The first fertilization attempts failed, and in an additional attempt that was a "last chance," the embryo was created. The family wrote in the circumcision invitation: "A miracle happened to us. We will forever carry the pain of Almog, may God avenge his blood, in our hearts, but we are full of hope."
