Ben Gvir claims Netanyahu committed to Europe that they would not be included in the next government
National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir claimed that Prime Minister Netanyahu's office committed to European Union countries that his party would not be part of the next government. Likud rejected the claims.
National Security Minister and Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben Gvir claimed today (Sunday) in a special statement to the media that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office committed to a number of European Union countries that his party would not be part of the next government. Ben Gvir said that according to verified and confirmed information that reached him, a clear message was conveyed to foreign ministers and senior officials in the European Union that Netanyahu does not intend to include Otzma Yehudit in the next government. He attacked Likud for its attempts, according to him, to weaken Otzma Yehudit ahead of the elections, and warned that the move could harm the chances of the right-wing bloc to form a government. Likud rejected the claims and clarified that the Prime Minister intends to maintain the composition of the coalition partnerships also in the next government. Ben Gvir clarified that his party will continue to support Netanyahu for Prime Minister.
