The State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment today (Tuesday) at the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court against a central Israel resident, for a series of violence and threats against his wife and minor children, including a 4-year-old toddler on the autism spectrum. According to the indictment, over a period of about six years, the defendant beat his children and wife on various occasions. In one instance, he struck his 4-year-old son, diagnosed on the autism spectrum, hard in the face, causing him severe injuries. In another case, he attacked his approximately 15-year-old son during an argument. At times, when drunk, he forcefully pushed his wife into a wall and kicked her, and threatened her: 'It's not worth it for me to murder you and sit in prison for you... if you report to the police, your life will be over.' The defendant exploited his children's weakness and dependence. The indictment charges him with assault of a minor by a responsible party, aggravated assault, and threats. The prosecution requested his detention until the end of proceedings.
