Ayman Odeh alleges political persecution amid election fraud suspicions
Israeli MK Ayman Odeh accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the coalition of political persecution, linking allegations of receiving cash from the Palestinian Authority to high Arab voter turnout and fears of a government change.
MK Ayman Odeh attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the coalition on Wednesday against the backdrop of suspicions of election integrity violations. Odeh claimed that the high voter turnout in the Arab community and the possibility of a change in government are behind the allegations raised against the election results. According to him, "The historic voter turnout of Arab citizens drove Netanyahu and the fascists out of their minds, and the fear of losing power makes them shoot in all directions." Odeh added that this is political persecution that will backfire on his accusers. He warned that ahead of the swearing-in of the Knesset, "spins and lies" will intensify, and called for continued efforts to replace the government.
