MK Ayman Odeh investigated by Shin Bet over alleged cash from foreign entity

Israeli media report that MK Ayman Odeh is the senior politician under Shin Bet investigation for allegedly receiving hundreds of thousands of shekels in cash from a foreign entity. Shin Bet chief David Zini also sought to investigate three other Arab MKs without evidence.

Commentator Avishai Grinzaig revealed on the program "Mahadurat Shalosh" on Channel 15 that MK Ayman Odeh is the senior politician being investigated for receiving hundreds of thousands of shekels in cash from a foreign entity. Odeh is one of four Arab MKs whom Shin Bet head David Zini sought to investigate under caution, but only in his case was a written opinion submitted detailing the justification for the investigation. The other three – Ahmad Tibi, Mansour Abbas, and Sami Abu Shahada – were mentioned orally and without evidence. Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara demanded evidence before approving the investigation against them, but this was not done except in Odeh's case. A joint investigation team of the Shin Bet and police was agreed upon, but the materials have not yet been transferred.
