Avi Maoz against breaking the boycott on Channel 12: "Preserve the honor of the fighters"

MK Avi Maoz (Noam) comes out against coalition members who have returned to being interviewed on Channel 12, including Itamar Ben Gvir and Amichai Shikli, and calls for continuing the boycott declared following the affair of the fighters of Unit 100. Maoz calls the publications "a despicable and vile blood libel" and writes: "We will not forget and we will not forgive."

MK Avi Maoz, chairman of the "Noam for Israel" party, came out against coalition members who have returned to being interviewed on Channel 12, including Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir and Minister Amichai Shikli. Maoz calls for continuing the boycott declared following the affair of the fighters of Unit 100, who he claims suffered defamatory publications. In a message posted on X, Maoz wrote: "In light of the fact that my colleagues from the coalition have returned to being interviewed on Channel 12, I want to strengthen and embrace you, and above all tell you in a clear and lucid voice: the entire nation of Israel is with you." He added: "We will not forget and we will not forgive the despicable and vile blood libel that the military advocate general and a bunch of small-time journalists pinned on you." Maoz claims he was the first to announce he would not be interviewed on Channel 12 following the affair, and called on his colleagues: "Preserve your values, preserve the honor of our sons—our fighters. Do not be interviewed on Channel 12." His remarks come against the backdrop of several ministers and Knesset members from the coalition returning to be interviewed on the channel in recent months, despite previous commitments to refrain from doing so until an apology was made to the fighters of Unit 100.
