Available to early users: the feature we've all been waiting for finally arrives on WhatsApp

WhatsApp has begun rolling out a message scheduling feature for Android beta users. The feature allows setting a future send time for text messages, images, and videos, in both personal chats and groups, while maintaining end-to-end encryption. The scheduling range is from ten minutes to two weeks in advance.

WhatsApp has started rolling out a message scheduling feature, now available to some Android beta users. The feature allows users to write a message and set a future send time, in both personal chats and groups. It is used by long-pressing the send button, which opens a menu to select the time. The feature supports scheduling text messages, links, images, and videos, but limits scheduling to one item at a time. The possible time range is from ten minutes from the time of scheduling up to two weeks in advance. Users can edit, manage, and delete scheduled messages before they are sent, and the recipient will not receive a notification of cancellation. The feature is currently only available to some Android beta users, and is expected to gradually reach other users. No date has been given for a wide release.
