Artillery shelling and gunfire target the displaced in Gaza

Israeli attacks on Gaza continue despite the ceasefire agreement, as artillery shelled the vicinity of the Wadi Gaza bridge and tanks opened fire on homes and tents east of the Bureij camp, with shelling extending to Khan Younis and northeastern Gaza, amid ongoing violations that have resulted in 1,593 martyrs and 5,748 wounded since the agreement took effect.

Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip continue despite the ceasefire agreement, as Israeli artillery shelled the vicinity of the Wadi Gaza bridge while military vehicles and bulldozers moved in the area, and tanks opened fire on Palestinian homes and tents east of the Bureij camp in the central Strip. In the southern Strip, Israeli vehicle and tank fire targeted the eastern and southern areas of Khan Younis since dawn, and Israeli army forces carried out demolition operations of Palestinian homes and facilities in the eastern areas of the city. Artillery shelling extended to areas northeast of Gaza City, along with intense gunfire east and central of the Maghazi camp. These attacks come amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, as the Government Media Office in Gaza reported 5,989 violations since the agreement took effect, including 753 violations in October 2026, resulting in the martyrdom of 1,593 Palestinians and injury of 5,748 others, in addition to the arrest of 217 citizens. These violations continue despite the announcement by US President Donald Trump on July 31, 2026, of what he described as a "roadmap" to implement the ceasefire stages and end the war on the Strip.
