"Anthropic": AI could radically change the US economy within 4 years
Anthropic, in its most optimistic scenario, predicted that the US GDP could rise to $44.4 trillion by 2030 thanks to artificial intelligence. The statements were made by co-founder Jack Clark during the IMF and World Bank meetings in Bangkok, calling for international cooperation to establish regulatory controls.
Anthropic, in its most optimistic scenario regarding artificial intelligence, predicted that the US GDP could rise to $44.4 trillion by 2030. The company's co-founder, Jack Clark, said that the rapid development of AI capabilities could drive exceptional growth in the US economy. Clark explained that reaching a GDP of around $44 trillion, compared to just over $30 trillion currently, might seem far-fetched, but he noted that AI is already significantly accelerating scientific discoveries. He added that achieving this growth assumes continued improvement in technology capabilities, along with the emergence of new industries and inventions. The estimates are based on an economic model published by Anthropic in September 2026, which presents three possible pathways for AI's impact on the US economy through 2030. In the first, moderate scenario, GDP reaches $34.1 trillion. Clark's remarks came during the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Bangkok, where he called for strengthening international cooperation to establish regulatory controls for AI.
