Prof. Amnon Shashua, founder of Mobileye and controlling shareholder of the digital bank ONE ZERO, is considering selling the bank he established. The bank, founded in 2019 and fully operational since 2022, was designed to challenge traditional banks in Israel through AI-based digital banking. In the first half of 2026, the bank recorded a loss of 84 million shekels, a decrease of about 27% compared to the same period last year, while its revenues grew by 33%. The consideration of a sale comes during a challenging period for Shashua, who has had to contend with difficulties at Orcam, AI21, and Mobileye. The possibility of a sale could impact the competitive landscape of the Israeli banking market.
