An underground activist group called Capytistas has announced a campaign to publicly expose home addresses and personal details of hundreds of billionaires in the United States, focusing on Elon Musk, his brother Kimbal Musk, and Tesla's management. According to an investigation by WIRED, the group built intelligence files using property databases, court documents, and purchased cellular location data. The file on Musk includes 32 home addresses, and overall the group plans to publish over 150 addresses and about 3,500 records on billionaires worth $1.4 trillion, backed by $1.2 million in funding from wealthy donors. The group claims that billionaires who buy political influence lose their right to privacy. The exposure sparked a storm on X, with supporters arguing it is a legitimate step, while legal and cybersecurity experts warn it is outright intimidation endangering family members. FBI reports have documented vandalism attacks against Tesla agencies and vehicles in nine US states.
