After the withdrawal and the agreement with Likud: Rabbi Hida supports Ben Gvir
Rabbi Chaim Yosef David Abergel, known as Rabbi Hida, announced public support for the Otzma Yehudit party and Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, two days before the elections. The announcement came after the Achi party withdrew from the race following agreements with Likud, which included advancing the conscription law, assistance to weaker sectors, and strengthening Jewish identity. Despite the agreement, Rabbi Hida gave his support specifically to Otzma Yehudit, a significant boost for Ben Gvir in the final stretch of the election campaign.
Rabbi Chaim Yosef David Abergel, known as Rabbi Hida, announced today (Sunday) his public support for the Otzma Yehudit party and its chairman, Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. The announcement comes two days before the elections, after the Achi party, associated with the rabbi, announced on Friday its withdrawal from the race following agreements with Likud. The rabbi praised Ben Gvir and said: "Minister Itamar Ben Gvir is God-fearing, respects Torah scholars, and commands us all to vote for the letter Bet for Otzma Yehudit." The agreement with Likud included advancing the conscription law, assistance to weaker sectors, and strengthening Jewish identity, as well as appointing a deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Office from Achi. Despite the agreement, the rabbi grants his support specifically to Otzma Yehudit, a significant boost for Ben Gvir in the final stretch of the election campaign.
