After breaking two fingers of a teacher: student bites vice principal and kicks her in the face

A student at an elementary school in Kfar Saba threw a chair, hit a homeroom teacher in the stomach, bit the vice principal, and kicked her in the face. Classes will be suspended for two hours tomorrow. The Teachers' Union condemned the incident and called for full backing of the staff.

A severe violence incident at the A.D. Gordon Elementary School in Kfar Saba will lead to a two-hour suspension of classes tomorrow (Monday) from 8:00 to 10:00. During a lesson, a student threw a chair at a female student and hit her. When the homeroom teacher tried to stop him, he hit her in the stomach. The school's vice principal who came to calm him was also attacked: the student bit her hand and kicked her in the face. According to the Teachers' Union, this is not the first time the student has attacked staff members. In one previous case, a teacher was injured and suffered a concussion, and in another case, another teacher was injured and two of her fingers were broken. Communication classes are exempt from the sanctions and will operate as usual. Deputy Secretary-General of the Teachers' Union, Michael Pinto, strongly condemned the incident and said, "We will not accept a reality where teaching staff are attacked." Chair of the Kfar Saba branch, Aliza Sokol, stated that "teaching staff are not punching bags" and that this crosses a red line. The article notes that there is no body monitoring violence against teachers in Israel, and the Ministry of Education does not hold data on the scope of the phenomenon.
