"After 10/7 I started to love Hamas": Negev resident indicted for incitement and support for a terrorist organization
The Southern District Attorney's Office filed an indictment against Difallah Abu Rgila (19) from Segev Shalom, for dozens of counts of incitement to terrorism, identification with a terrorist organization, and direct calls to commit terrorist acts. Abu Rgila published 45 posts on his TikTok account praising and glorifying terrorists, including Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh, as well as footage of the October 7 attack. During his interrogation, he said that after October 7 he began to love Hamas.
The Southern District Attorney's Office today (Tuesday) filed an indictment with the Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court against Difallah Abu Rgila (19) from Segev Shalom, for dozens of counts of incitement to terrorism, identification with a terrorist organization, and direct calls to commit terrorist acts. According to the indictment, filed by attorney Noam Elia Lhav, Abu Rgila published 45 posts on his TikTok account containing incitement and identification content, including regarding the events of October 7 and attacks carried out by terrorists. The account had 877 followers and about 5,500 likes, and the posts were open to the public. Among the posts: content praising and glorifying Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh, Ahmed Yassin, and Ibrahim Nabulsi; a video glorifying Moin Moamar for murdering 20 Israelis within 10 minutes during the October 7 massacre; and a video featuring a sermon presenting jihad and fighting as a religious duty. During his interrogation, Abu Rgila said: "In the past I did not like Hamas. After October 7, I saw many people posting their videos on TikTok and it made me love them." The prosecution requested his detention until the end of proceedings, citing his dangerousness given the number of posts and the security situation.
