8 Arab and Islamic countries demand the occupation adhere to the Gaza agreement

Foreign ministers of 8 Arab and Islamic countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Qatar, expressed concern over the continued humanitarian suffering in Gaza, and demanded the Israeli occupation fulfill its commitments under the first phase of the agreement, calling for active American engagement and rejecting any displacement of Palestinians.

Foreign ministers of 8 Arab and Islamic countries, namely Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Turkey, expressed deep concern over the continued humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip, in a joint statement issued Tuesday on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. The ministers called on the Israeli occupation to fulfill its commitments under the first phase of the agreement regarding the Strip, and stressed the need for active American engagement to ensure this. The ministers reiterated their absolute rejection of any measures aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their homeland, and called for a halt to settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank, and ensuring accountability for acts of settler violence. They also demanded ensuring the delivery of aid to Palestinians in the Strip.
