During the burglary, the suspect stopped to eat a sandwich, leaving DNA remnants on it. Criminal identification investigators from the Lachish district collected the sandwich from the scene, and a DNA test led to the identification of the suspect. Police officers from the Kiryat Malakhi station arrested him for questioning, and at its conclusion, the prosecution unit of the Lachish district filed an indictment against him. Alongside the indictment, a request was filed for his detention until the end of proceedings.
