Former hostage Eitan Horn gave an interview to the program "HaYisraelim" marking one year since his release. He spoke about nightmares and the difficulty of forgetting his years in captivity, criticized the government for insufficient assistance, and expressed a complex stance regarding the timing of hostage releases.

Former hostage Eitan Horn gave an interview last night (Monday) to the program "HaYisraelim" with Uri Koel, marking one year since his release from Hamas captivity. In the interview, Horn described his current mental state: "I have nightmares, I won't forget the two years I went through in captivity, and it's clear to me that Hamas beasts are to blame." He expressed a complex stance on crisis management in real time, saying that when he realized in captivity the scale of the October 7 massacre, he believed hostages should not be released quickly to allow a powerful military response that would prevent a recurrence. Horn harshly criticized the government: "The government isn't helping us enough... Unfortunately, I have to give paid lectures." He warned that if the law on payments for freed captives doesn't pass, he will have to fund medical treatments himself. When asked about Prime Minister Netanyahu, he said that in his previous role as a team manager, he would have been the first to apologize.
