A' is connected to respiratory equipment - but he didn't give up on the Selichot prayers
A patient hospitalized in respiratory rehabilitation at Ichilov Hospital requested to attend Selichot prayers at the Ma'ale Eliyahu Yeshiva. The hospital staff and Magen David Adom mobilized for a special operation, and he arrived accompanied by his mother and a medical team, receiving an emotional welcome from hundreds of students and rabbis.
A', a patient who has been hospitalized for a long time in the respiratory rehabilitation unit at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, fulfilled a dream and arrived at Selichot prayers at the Ma'ale Eliyahu Yeshiva. The special operation was coordinated by the respiratory rehabilitation unit team, the Magen David Adom 'Ambulance of Wishes' team, and the yeshiva's leadership. A' was transported by ambulance while monitored and protected, and was greeted with singing and excitement by hundreds of students and rabbis. His mother shared tearfully: 'I have no words to describe the spiritual uplift.' The unit director, Dr. Ronen Mass, and Dr. Asaf Nini accompanied the effort. The yeshiva student who connected with him and led to the initiative recounted the joint mobilization. The head of the yeshiva, Rabbi Chaim Gantz, concluded: 'We merited to pray together with A' and tear open the gates of heaven.'
