Bob Dylan, 85, met with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican in an unusual encounter. The meeting took place at the Apostolic Palace and was described as brief, including an exchange of greetings and gifts. Dylan wore a dark hoodie, which sparked reactions online, and the Pope gave him a book whose preface includes a grim quote from a Dylan song. No music was played, unlike Dylan's meeting with John Paul II in 1997. According to the Vatican, the meeting was organized with the help of Father Antonio Spadaro. Dylan, born Jewish and later drawn to Christianity, once said in an interview that he is a religious person.
