A man about 70 years old died last night (between Thursday and Friday) in a fire that broke out at a home on Yair Stern Street in Ramla. MDA teams found him with severe burn marks and pronounced him dead at the scene. Another man, about 42, was lightly injured and evacuated to Shamir-Asaf Harofeh Hospital in Be'er Ya'akov. The report was received at the 101 emergency hotline at 1:04 AM. A paramedic and a medic from MDA described that the man was lying in the house with no signs of life and with extensive burns over all parts of his body, and that there was no choice but to pronounce his death. Additional teams treated the lightly injured person.
