32 years after the attack on the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, in which 85 people were murdered, a memorial will be erected in their memory in Binyamin. Head of the Binyamin Regional Council and Chairman of the Yesha Council, Israel Gantz, agreed on cooperation with the President of AMIA, attorney Osvaldo Armoza, during a visit to Argentina. Gantz visited the memorial for the victims, lit a candle, and recited Psalms. The two issued a joint statement on the establishment of the memorial site, which will express the connection between the Jewish community in Argentina and the settlements in Judea and Samaria. The attack, attributed to Hezbollah and Iranian involvement, occurred on July 18, 1994. Gantz said, "We will not surrender to terrorism" and that the memory will also have a place in the heart of Binyamin. Armoza expressed support for the settlement enterprise. The visit took place as part of a tour of South America, during which Gantz also met with the President of Argentina, Javier Milei.
