300 kibbutz members, one dilemma: give up control of the factory they founded or risk collapse
Fimi fund, managed by Yeshayahu "Isai" Davidi, offers to invest 200 million shekels for 50% of Mitronics, a pool-cleaning robot manufacturer that has fallen into crisis. Members of Kibbutz Yizre'el will have to decide whether to give up control of the company, which has lost 97% of its peak value.
The investment fund Fimi, managed by Isai Davidi, has submitted a non-binding offer to purchase 50% of the shares of Mitronics, a manufacturer of pool-cleaning robots, for 200 million shekels. The offer would dilute the holdings of Kibbutz Yizre'el, the current controlling shareholder, from 56% to about 28%. The background to the offer is the turmoil into which Mitronics has fallen, having lost about 97% of its peak value of 9.1 billion shekels. In 2025, its revenues amounted to about 1.4 billion shekels and it recorded a net loss of 222 million shekels. Fimi plans to inject an additional 200 million shekels into the company to reduce debt of about 600 million shekels, and then lead efficiency and expansion measures. The kibbutz members will have to decide whether to give up control in the hope that Fimi will return the company to a path of success.
