Subsequently, a General Staff committee will convene to examine the recommendations for the Chief of Staff citation and decorations, and its recommendations will be forwarded for the Chief of Staff's decision. Recommendations for awarding the Medal of Heroism will be forwarded for the Defense Minister's approval. Alongside the heroism of IDF servicemembers, exceptional civilian acts of heroism also stood out, which will be forwarded for examination by the advisory committee to the President of the State for awarding the "President of the State Medal for Civilian Heroism."
