16 beehives disappeared from the area - and were found in the forest: Father and son arrested

A father and son were arrested on suspicion of stealing 16 beehives from the settlements of Ein Harod and Hagila. The hives were located in the Megiddo forest during an undercover investigation by the Coastal Border Police YAMAR, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Honey Board. The suspects, residents of Wadi Ara, were transferred for questioning.

A father and son, aged 66 and 36 from the village of Mushayrifa in Wadi Ara, were arrested on suspicion of stealing 16 beehives from the settlements of Ein Harod and Hagila. The undercover investigation was conducted by detectives from the Coastal Border Police YAMAR, in cooperation with the Central Enforcement and Investigation Unit (Pitzuach) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and the Pollination and Honey Board. During the investigation, the hives were located in the Megiddo forest area, some of which were identified and verified as stolen. The raid on the suspects' homes was carried out with the cooperation of fighters from the Border Police Tactical Brigade. The seized hives were transferred to the care of inspectors from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Honey Board. The Honey Board praised the operation. The Border Police stated that they would continue to act against agricultural crime.
