Jack Ross, a former British politician who ran as a Conservative Party candidate in local English elections, was recorded on an Al Jazeera hidden camera offering to hire a hitman. Ross, who serves as CEO of the right-wing organization Turning Point UK, was heard in a conversation with an undercover reporter detailing options for a paid violent attack, including stabbing, shooting, and murder. He directed the reporter to a convicted criminal, Alan Nesbitt, linked to the paramilitary terrorist organization UVF. Nesbitt himself was recorded offering to arrange an accident that would appear random to kill a business rival. Following the exposure, Ross's membership in the Conservative Party was suspended, and Police Scotland is examining the findings. It was also revealed that Ross worked as an external social media consultant for the office of Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch in 2025. Ross denies the allegations and claims his words were not meant to be taken seriously.
