The charter includes a national emergency plan for dealing with the waste crisis in Israel, which includes turning organic waste into a resource, sorting waste before landfilling, establishing waste-to-energy facilities, encouraging technological innovation, environmental education and increased enforcement. Only three parties responded to the call to commit to the plan. Chairman of the Democrats Yair Golan said that Netanyahu's governments led to a severe waste crisis, and promised to promote framework legislation and the establishment of an independent authority. Chairman of the Reservists-Economic Party Yoaz Hendel stated that advanced and long-term solutions are needed. Chairman of Yashar! Gadi Eisenkot also signed the charter.
