Ofer Winter, chairman of the 'Amcha Yisrael' movement, harshly attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and coalition members today (Tuesday), following the riots that occurred last night in Modi'in. According to Winter, extremist ultra-Orthodox rioters broke into a building in the city to prevent the arrest of a deserter, and security forces were forced to extract soldiers from there. Winter accused the coalition of a resounding silence: "What a disgrace, what a loss of control. And not a single person in the coalition stood up to condemn this abomination." He directed direct criticism at Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, the police minister, and the prime minister, asking where they were. Winter noted that the only condemnation came from the chairman of United Torah Judaism, Yitzhak Goldknopf, who condemned the IDF. Winter concluded: "An indescribable disgrace. Shame on you and shame on all those who remain silent. The silence of the sheep."
