Which food supplement is proven to slow down body aging
The DO-HEALTH study showed that daily intake of one gram of Omega-3 slows biological aging by 2.9–3.8 months according to three out of four epigenetic clocks. The experiment lasted three years and involved 777 people aged 75. The results were independent of gender, age, or body mass index. Scientists emphasize the preliminary nature of the findings due to the small sample size.
Scientists from the DO-HEALTH project found that daily consumption of one gram of Omega-3 can slow down the body's aging processes. The experiment lasted three years and included 777 people aged 75. The results showed that the biological age of participants slowed by an average of 2.9–3.8 months according to three out of four epigenetic clocks. These data were consistent regardless of age, gender, or body mass index. The effects of vitamin D and strength exercises were also studied, but no significant impact on blood pressure, fracture risk, physical activity, infection frequency, or cognitive abilities was found. Other DO-HEALTH studies show that a combination of Omega-3, vitamin D, and physical activity may reduce the likelihood of precancerous conditions and cancer. Scientists emphasize that the conclusions are still preliminary due to the small number of participants, most of whom were relatively healthy.
