A study by the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAM) identified over 1,300 posts on X within two days linking the riots in Paris to Jews, Israel, and the Mossad. Some posts claimed the Mossad was behind the fires, others portrayed the riots as part of a civil war planned by Jewish elites, and there were also mentions of the Rothschild family. The article notes that some posts were disseminated through accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers, and some included calls for violence, expulsion, and extermination of Jews. The article emphasizes that this is an ancient antisemitic pattern of blaming Jews for hidden forces, and that social media algorithms accelerate the spread.
