A right-wing protester was recorded threatening supporters of the Change Bloc in Tel Aviv's Habima Square, mentioning the Auschwitz, Birkenau, and Sobibor extermination camps. The incident occurred this evening (Saturday) alongside two protests: one by supporters of the Change Bloc calling for the formation of a coalition with the Arab parties, and another by right-wing activists opposing that. Yigal Shataim, an artist and social activist who documented the event, said that the police present did not intervene despite the threats, and that he was told their role was to separate the sides. Shataim, whose grandfather's family members were murdered in the Holocaust, expressed concern that the public atmosphere reflected by the event is frightening.
