Two wounded in Haifa incident; reports differ on stabbing or shooting

A 35-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were wounded in Haifa and taken to Rambam Hospital. Police are investigating; the background is believed criminal.

A violent incident in Haifa: A 35-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were stabbed last night (Saturday night) on Herzl Street. MDA teams called to the scene provided them with initial medical treatment and evacuated them to Rambam Hospital. The man was evacuated in serious condition and the woman in moderate condition, both with penetrating wounds and fully conscious. The background to the incident is apparently criminal, and the police have opened an investigation. An MDA paramedic and an emergency medic described the treatment given at the scene.
