A 43-year-old resident of southern Israel was arrested on suspicion of filming and distributing intimate footage of his wife amid divorce proceedings. The police requested a six-day extension of his arrest, but the judge ordered five days of house arrest at his parents' home, imposing significant restrictions: a ban on contacting those involved in the case, a ban on approaching the woman's home within half a kilometer for sixty days, and supervised meetings with the children through a third party. The suspect signed a bail bond of 20,000 shekels, and it was clarified that violating the restrictions would lead to arrest. Attorney Ziner, his defense counsel, argued that there is no risk of obstructing proceedings or danger to the public, as he voluntarily handed over his phone and computer. According to her, the footage was sent to at least two people: his brother, his mother, and another relative, who each committed to bail of 10,000 shekels.
