The Peace Council is furious over Israel's assassination policy and points an accusing finger at Netanyahu, claiming he is throwing a wrench in the works for political reasons. According to them, Netanyahu did not agree to commit to halting the manhunt for Nukhba terrorists, not even for 14 days. The Council notes that the assassination policy prevents advancing the process of Hamas disarmament, and at least until after the elections in Israel, they will not attempt to begin the process. On the ground, Israel continues its assassination policy, hunting down all those who took part in the October 7 massacre, including senior figures such as the commander of the Jabalia battalion, the commander of the Khan Yunis brigade, and the commander of the Rafah brigade, who were eliminated in the past week. A source in the Peace Council stated that the proposal submitted to Israel was built on verification, not promises: 14 days without targeted killings, during which Hamas halts all military activity and rearmament, then surrenders all weapons and tunnels and withdraws from power in Gaza. According to him, Netanyahu rejected the proposal, and Hamas's sincerity was never put to the test. The Prime Minister's office chose not to respond.
