Three attacks in three days: In Yitzhar they demand demolition of buildings and a security perimeter
Three attacks in three days in Yitzhar: a tractor ride was attacked on Friday, a bus on Saturday night, and families last night. The settlement secretariat demands demolition of buildings, a security perimeter, and cancellation of olive picking permits.
Following three attacks within three days, the secretariat of the Yitzhar settlement demands that the security establishment establish a security perimeter around the junction leading to the settlement, demolish buildings that it says serve as hiding places for the attackers, and cancel olive picking permits in the area. The latest incident occurred last night (Sunday), when stones and paint bottles were thrown at vehicles of families on their way home. According to the secretariat, the attackers came from the village of Burin and operated dozens of meters from an IDF position. In an urgent letter to the commander of the Samaria Brigade, Colonel David Cohen, with copies to Defense Minister Israel Katz and Bezalel Smotrich, it is claimed that the attacks continue and escalate despite security forces' activity. The main demands include clearing the area near the road, demolishing two specific houses, and uprooting trees.
