Dr. Charles Jacobs has co-founded the International Freedom Coalition (IFC), a global alliance bringing together Jews, Christians, Yazidis, and other minority groups that have faced persecution from jihadist movements. Jacobs argues that these communities share a common enemy and that their united voices are harder for the international community to ignore. The IFC recently launched a billboard campaign in Detroit targeting Michigan Senator Abdul El-Sayed, urging him to speak out against jihadist violence in Nigeria and Sudan. The campaign's truck driver was reportedly assaulted, and police forced the signs to be turned off, an incident Jacobs described as an attack on free speech. Jacobs has a long history of activism, including co-founding the American Anti-Slavery Group and the David Project.
