The unusual call of the former chief of staff amid the vote count

Former IDF Chief of Staff and Defense Minister Moshe Bogie Ya'alon called on the leaders of the Change Bloc to take over the Knesset and quickly form a government, amid the vote count in the elections for the 26th Knesset. In a sharp post, he attacked Netanyahu and accused him of potentially initiating a war against Iran to stay in power.

Former IDF Chief of Staff and Defense Minister Moshe Bogie Ya'alon published a sharp post on X today (Wednesday), in which he called on the leaders of the Change Bloc to take over the Knesset and form a government quickly, even before the vote count in the elections for the 26th Knesset is completed. Ya'alon harshly attacked the outgoing Netanyahu government, calling it "a government of messianics, draft dodgers, corrupt individuals, and traitors," and claimed that "an overwhelming majority of Israeli citizens chose a Jewish, democratic, and liberal state." He called for Mansour Abbas and Yoav Segalovich to be included in forming the government. Ya'alon accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of potentially "instigating a war against Iran to cling to power," and warned that delay would allow "the messianics to continue their pogroms in Judea and Samaria."
