Yinnon Kreiz, the outgoing CEO of Mattel, is expected to join a senior role at the company formed by the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery. Kreiz, who is concluding his tenure after eight years, informed Mattel's board that he is leaving for a senior position at the entertainment company. The appointment depends on the completion of the $111 billion merger and a judge's approval of a settlement in an antitrust lawsuit filed by the attorneys general of 12 states. According to Variety, David Ellison has been courting Kreiz for months. The exact role has not yet been determined. Kreiz is no stranger to the entertainment industry: he served as chairman and CEO of Maker Studios, which was acquired by Disney, and chairman and CEO of the Endemol Group. At Mattel, he led the transition into entertainment, which produced the film "Barbie" – the highest-grossing film worldwide in 2023 and the highest-grossing film in the history of Warner Bros. Pictures. His experience may integrate into the new management team alongside Ellison, who comes from the creative side. Mattel announced that Kreiz will conclude his duties on October 2.
