Hundreds of mikveh attendants from across the country gathered this morning at the 'Chatzer Netzer' hall in Be'er Ya'akov for the annual study day of the Ministry of Religious Services. The meeting focused on core issues of the immersion experience, the employment conditions of the attendants, and the spiritual mission placed upon them. The event was led by the top of the Chief Rabbinate: Sephardic Chief Rabbi David Yosef defined the attendants as 'the beating heart of the people of Israel' and emphasized the virtue of family purity as the cornerstone of the Jewish home. Chief Rabbi Kalman Ber connected the work of the attendants to the Days of Awe and Forgiveness. The Director General of the Ministry of Religious Services, Yehuda Avidan, announced a significant improvement in the employment conditions and salary of the attendants, saying, 'This holy work will no longer remain invisible.'
