The plan to save the right is revealed - and not everyone was invited
Netanyahu and Smotrich are holding two conferences in Jerusalem under the banner 'Saving the Right', aiming to recruit rabbis and heads of institutions from Religious Zionism for a joint field operation that will reach about 200,000 potential voters and add about five seats to the bloc. Ben Gvir and the rabbis identified with him were not invited.
Netanyahu and Smotrich are holding two conferences today (Thursday) in Jerusalem as part of a joint plan aimed at strengthening the right-wing bloc by about five seats. The first conference will take place at noon at the Ramada Hotel in Jerusalem with the participation of heads of institutions from Religious Zionism, and at 18:00 another conference is planned with rabbis and heads of settlements. The meetings are held under the banner 'Saving the Right', and their goal is to enlist the heads of institutions, rabbis, and settlement leadership for the joint field operation. The activity will focus on places where potential is identified to increase voter turnout among right-wing voters who tend to avoid going to the polls. The parties call the working method the 'multiplier equation': institutions times activists times doors and phone calls. According to the assessment of the plan's organizers, the activity could reach about 200,000 potential right-wing voters. The target of about five additional seats is based on the assumption that there is a significant reservoir of right-wing voters who do not intend to vote. Israel Gantz, who is closely familiar with the network of institutions, is responsible for connecting the party mechanisms with local factors. Ben Gvir and the rabbis identified with him were left out, and the event organizers reject claims of a political boycott, explaining that the plan is based on the organizational infrastructure of Religious Zionism institutions. Ben Gvir's absence comes days after the signing of the surplus agreement between Likud and Religious Zionism, which left Otzma Yehudit without an agreement with Likud.
