"The most despicable people in Israel": Yinon Magal called on Ofri Bibas, survivors of captivity and bereaved families to apologize to Netanyahu

Media personality Yinon Magal called live on air for bereaved families, survivors of captivity and relatives of hostages to apologize to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, less than a day before the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre. Magal read out the names of those who signed the book "Mr. Abandonment," calling them "vile people" and "the most despicable people in Israel," and demanded they vote Likud in the elections as atonement.

Media personality Yinon Magal, a presenter on Channel 14 and Radio 103FM, called this morning (Tuesday) live on air for bereaved families, survivors of captivity and relatives of hostages to apologize to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The remarks were made less than a day before the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre. Magal attacked all those who signed the book "Benjamin Netanyahu Mr. Abandonment – The Legacy of the Hostage Abandoner," read out their names for about five minutes, and called them "vile people" and "the most despicable people in Israel." He demanded they vote Likud in the elections as an act of atonement: "The only thing that can forgive them is if they slip the Likud ballot for Netanyahu in the ballot box in the elections." Among the names he read: Ofri Bibas, Ayala Metzger, Nili Margalit, Eyal Eshel, Avi Marciano, Danny Elgart, Carmit Palty Katzir, Einav Zangauker, Yael Hadar, Maayan Sherman, Hadas Calderon, Ilana Kaminka, Shnir Dan, Ra'aya Kadam, Mirav Svirsky, Yonatan Shamriz, Hagit and Ruby Chen, Liat Atzili, Yehuda Cohen, Gil Dickmann, Ada Sagi and Yasmin Porat. Organization "255," representing hostages and their families, condemned the remarks as crossing a red line and abusing people who have already paid the heaviest price. Some of those mentioned responded: Ofri Bibas wrote that the only ones she will ask forgiveness from are Shiri, Ariel and Kfir; Eyal Eshel wrote ironically that he wants to apologize to Netanyahu for having his child killed on his watch.
