Only about 60 out of 300 families have returned to the kibbutz, a process expected to continue until next summer. During the ceremony, a path with 35 memorial stones was dedicated to the victims of the massacre who are not buried in the kibbutz. Varda and David Goldstein, who lost their son Nadav and granddaughter Yam, said that time does not heal. Former MK Shai Hermesh, who lost his son Omer, invited former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant to the ceremony. Liora Elon, mother of the late Tal Elon, spoke on behalf of the families. During the ceremony, the sound of a tractor heading to the field was heard, symbolizing renewal alongside the loss. There was no official representative of the state at the ceremony.
